1. How to Submit a Takedown Request

You can request the removal of content from Reddclips by using the report button (flag icon) on any post, or by emailing us directly at: contact@reddclips.com

Reddclips does not host or store media content. When we process a takedown request, we blacklist the content so it is no longer displayed on our platform. We also recommend contacting the original hosting platform to have the source material removed.

2. Required Information

To process your takedown request, please include:

  • Your email address — so we can follow up if needed.
  • Reddclips URL(s) — the specific page(s) where the content appears.
  • Reason for removal — copyright infringement, privacy concern, nonconsensual intimate imagery, right to be forgotten, or other.
  • Description — a brief explanation of why the content should be removed.

For copyright-related takedowns, please follow the DMCA notice requirements outlined in our DMCA Policy.

3. What Happens After You Submit

Once we receive your request, we will review it and take appropriate action. If your request is valid:

  • The content will be blacklisted from appearing on Reddclips.
  • Because we don't host media, there is nothing to “delete” — the content simply stops being displayed.
  • Cached copies will expire automatically within 24 hours of blacklisting.
  • We will notify you via email once the request has been processed.

4. Non-Copyright Takedowns

You do not need to be a copyright holder to request content removal. We also accept requests based on:

  • Privacy concerns — content that reveals personal information or depicts you without consent.
  • Right to be forgotten — requests under applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR Article 17).
  • Nonconsensual intimate imagery — see Section 5 below for TAKE IT DOWN Act requests.
  • Other reasons — any legitimate concern about content displayed on Reddclips.

5. U.S. TAKE IT DOWN Act (Pub. L. No. 117-314)

Reddclips complies with the U.S. TAKE IT DOWN Act regarding the removal of nonconsensual intimate visual depictions (“NIVDs”), including AI-generated depictions (“deepfakes”).

Who Can Submit a Request

Any identifiable individual who is the subject of an NIVD, or their authorized representative, may submit a removal request.

How to Submit

Requests may be submitted by:

  • Using the flag icon (report button) on any post within Reddclips and selecting the appropriate reason.
  • Emailing contact@reddclips.com with the subject line “[TAKE IT DOWN Act Request]”.

Your request must include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the identifiable individual or their authorized representative.
  2. Identification of the depiction and information sufficient for us to locate it (the Reddclips URL).
  3. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the depiction was created or distributed without your consent, and any information necessary for us to determine that lack of consent.
  4. Contact information for you or your authorized representative.

Processing Timeline

Upon receiving a complete and valid request under the TAKE IT DOWN Act, we will:

  • Blacklist the identified content within 48 hours, preventing it from being displayed on Reddclips.
  • Make reasonable efforts to identify and blacklist any known identical copies of the content on our platform.

Because Reddclips does not host media, blacklisting means the content is filtered from our aggregation. Cached copies expire automatically within 24 hours of blacklisting. We strongly recommend also submitting a removal request to the original hosting platform where the source material resides.

Scope

This section applies solely to requests made under the U.S. TAKE IT DOWN Act. Requests under other laws (such as the EU Digital Services Act, GDPR, or copyright law) are handled under their respective sections of our policies.

Good-Faith Removal

Reddclips is not liable for any action taken in good faith to remove or disable access to an NIVD or an identical copy thereof.

6. Confidentiality

All takedown reports are treated confidentially. We review every submission carefully and take all reports seriously.
